Melgaço Footpaths are part of the Marginal Trails of the Minho River and are the ideal place for a relaxed family walk in nature. The trail follows the path of an old water-course, now deactivated, through a wooden walkway about 1.5 km long. This walkway runs along the slope of the Minho River and allows users to enjoy the magnificent views over the natural heritage of the Minho River and the ancestral "pesqueiras". The walkway ends at a small leisure area, following the trail, also on the slope of the Minho River, to the Melgaço Equestrian Centre through a gravel path.
